		<description>The weather sounds pretty similar to when I was over there.  If it makes you feel any better, I just got back from Houston, and this is how things went.

Day 1:  sitting on a flight from chicago (my cross over) to houston, the plane hasn&#039;t taken off yet, but everyone&#039;s on the flight.  We got delayed about 15-20 mins or so.

I get a text from my co-worker:  &quot;Hey Rob, sorry, but I can&#039;t pick you up from the airport.... We&#039;re getting hit by a hurricane at the moment&quot;.

...  Well, that sounds like fun.   And I&#039;m flying in?  Really!

I found out later that it had downgraded to a tropical storm, but, still slightly disconcerting while sitting on the airplane.

Once the storm subsided two days later, I got to experience typical houston august weather.

45oC + a rather brutal bit of humidity.  Thank goodness for air conditioning!
